题目: [栖湖讲座(第100期)] Exotic Topological Properties in the Magnetic Weyl Semimetals NdAlSi and CrSb

报告摘要:

Weyl semimetals are an important class of topological semimetals, which host emergent relativistic Weyl fermions in the bulk, and Fermi arc surface states connect two Weyl points with opposite chirality on the boundary of a bulk sample. These emergent particles are the result of inversion symmetry (IS) or time-reversal symmetry (TRS) breaking. The TRS-breaking Weyl semimetals are usually derived from magnetic materials, compared to the Weyl semimetals with IS breaking, which provide a platform for the study of the interplay between magnetism, electron correlation and topological orders. In this report, I will present research utilizing Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES) on two distinct magnetic Weyl semimetals: the ferrimagnetic Weyl semimetal NdAlSi and the altermagnetic Weyl semimetal CrSb. Key topics include:1. Disorder-driven non-Anderson transition [1] and the emergence of a non-Hermitian boundary [2] in a surface-selective reconstructed ferrimagnetic Weyl semimetal NdAlSi; 2. Interactions between Weyl fermions and magnetism in both the ferrimagnetic Weyl semimetal NdAlSi [3] and the altermagnetic Weyl semimetal CrSb [4]. These findings highlight the exotic topological properties of the magnetic Weyl semimetals NdAlSi and CrSb, shedding light on novel quantum phenomena in these systems.

报告人简介:

李聪于2014年至2020年在中国科学院物理研究所获得博士学位。2021年至2024年,他在瑞典皇家理工学院与斯坦福大学联合开展博士后研究。目前,他担任瑞典皇家理工学院的研究员。至今,他在 Nature Physics、Nature Communications、Advanced Materials、Physical Review X 等期刊发表论文40余篇,其中以第一作者(含共同第一)或通讯作者身份发表论文14篇。
